WELDING ENGINEER & SALES SPECIALIST

  • Interpreting welding codes such as; ASME IX, AWS, NAVSEA, MIL-STD, etc.
  • Producing Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), Procedure Qualification Record
    (PQR) and Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) to various codes
  • Evaluating test weldments received from customer.
  • Inspecting and interpreting weld testing results to determine acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate completion of testing procedure (sample removal, prep, testing).
  • Writing mechanical test reports (tensile, bends, charpy, macros, etc.).
  • Process customer requests for material, equipment, weld engineering and testing services.
  • Consult with customers, interpret welding code, determine weld qualification requirement.
  • Prepare and submit estimates and process orders
  • Managing equipment calibration requirements
  • Quality records maintenance
  • Proven experience as Welding Engineer, Weld Operations Manager, Metallurgist or similar.
  • Proficient in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector.
  • AWS Certified Welding Engineer.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and computer skills.
  • Destructive Testing experience preferred.
  • Organized, detail oriented, highly-motivated, self-directed and reliable.

WELDER FABRICATOR

Fabricate welded parts / components used in destructive test equipment manufactured and sold by the Company.

  1. Measure, layout and cut raw materials.
  2. Preparation of welded components.
  3. Layout, setup and weld fabricated components using proper fixtures per drawings.
  4. Set welding equipment to specified welding parameters per fabrication drawings.
  5. Cleaning and painting of welded parts and components.
  6. Management of welding consumables, gases and welded components.
  7. Routine shop and equipment maintenance.
  1. Proficient in SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW welding equipment and processes.
  2. Experience fixture setup and welding of carbon and stainless steel weldments.
  3. Strong knowledge of welding processes and metal properties.
  4. Strong knowledge interpreting fabrication documents; drawings, travelers, etc.
  5. Experience operating oxy-fuel flame cutting systems.
  6. Destructive weld testing (bend, tensile, impact testing) experience is a plus.
  7. Experience operating other fabrication equipment is a plus.
  1. Welding and Metal Fabrication work experience (5 years’ min.).
  2. Basic metal shop safety knowledge.
  3. Lifting required.
  4. Have your own tools.
  5. Be reliable and punctual.
  6. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Program, prepare, machine, measure, and inspect fabricated components used to manufacture destructive testing equipment sold by the Company.

MACHINE BUILDER

The Machine Assembler will assemble manufactured products and pack according to specifications.

  • Assembles machinery, fabricated metal products, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment, and more according to directions.
  • Read and understand blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications.
  • Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
  • Maintains equipment and performs basic repairs when needed.
  • Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; communicates with supervisors if supplies are needed.
  • Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Knowledgeable & competently skilled in mechanical assembly, welding and machining practices. 
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Detail-oriented and consistent.
  • Works well as a productive member of a team.
  • Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
  • Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.
  • Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
  • Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed.
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
  • Must wear gloves and ear protection.
